In the past, I had contractors who didn't do the plumbing right away and it just caused disaster. After they hung, completed and painted all of the sheet rock in the home, they turned on the water just to find that there were pipelines burst in the walls. Today, I CONSTANTLY make my contractor check out the plumbing first, including the drain lines.

While the plumber is working, I'll have an A/C team setting up a brand-new heater which includes a new gas heater and central air conditioning. I have not always replaced functional HVAC systems and even today, if the existing system is fairly brand-new, I will prevent it. Mostly, however, I always install totally new systems.
